Do you like more than one skin in the Skin Gallery? Well instead of having to go through the whole process of previewing, setting as your current homepage and going back into My Skins to save it you can now add as many skins as you want with a click of a button. Simply just click the green plus sign on the skin you want and add as many skins as you want!

There is a 3 skin limit per gallery session. Meaning you can add 3 from the skin gallery and have to wait a few seconds for the skins to save in your My Skins section then you can go back into the gallery and add some more!

Many more fun features are in the works already so prepare yourself!

Not registered to StartSkins.com? Well, that’s okay because our public users now have almost every feature that registered users have access to!

So the question is: “I am a public user so what new features am I getting?”

To answer that question you can now:
-Save as many skins as you want!
-Rotate all of your saved skins!

To give you a more detailed idea of the above features, you can now create as many skins and/or choose as many skins from the gallery and save them to the My Skins area located in the Customize Page link! So with all of your saved skins, now you have another feature to use called Rotate Skins! With this feature, you can check off as many skins as you have in your My Skins box and on every refresh of your homepage you will have a new skin shown from your saved skins! The only feature not available is the Privacy Settings. This setting will enable/disable others from viewing or editing the content on your own personal StartSkin.

Now that we’ve opened up to our public users, get ready for more features ahead!

So you already know that we love to make it easy for you to customize your homepage, but now it has become even easier!

To get straight to the point, instead of browsing the web for a new skin, you can now search directly through your Skin Builder! That’s right, you now have the ability to search images from Google, Photobucket, Flickr and Bing instantly on your StartSkin’s Skin Builder! Choose the search engine, type in your search and get instant results! Once your results appear, click on any image to get a live preview directly on your homepage. Want the image? Finish the rest of your customizing and click Save Changes!

Now can it get any easier?

What is this new feature? Well, it is self explanatory! The Rotate Skins feature will rotate your skins that you have created and saved in your My Skins area each time you come to your homepage, having a different skin appear every time!

How do I rotate my skins?
Sign into your StartSkin’s account. Go into your My Skins area. You will see a Rotate Skins check box at the top right of the box. Check off this box. You will notice all of your skins now are checked off. The skins that are checked will be set to rotate. Uncheck any skins you do not want to rotate. Once you’re ready, exit the My Skins and it will confirm that your skins will rotate. Take note, you must have more than one skin checked in order to have your skins rotate.

Your skins are now set to rotate each time you refresh your page!

Well, maybe not in the air but love is certainly on your StartSkin with our new Valentine’s day feature! Similar to the falling snowflakes feature, we now allow you to have falling hearts directly on your skin! Simply go into your Skin Builder and click on the Widgets tab. You will see the Enable Hearts check box. Click this and let the love fall from your homepage!

Much more features are in the works so stick tight as we are looking to release some awesome new features for the month of February!

Yet another option to customize your search bar! Currently, we already provide you guys with the ability to:

-Hide Search Engine Logo
-Adjust the search engine logo size
-Change the search bar & button colors
-Adjust the search bar width

Once again, that’s not all! You can now adjust the search bar field background transparency! Thicken the search bar field background color or hike up the transparency and make it invisible! Simply go into the Skin Builder and click the ‘Search’ tab. You will see the background color transparency slider. Use that to darken or lighten your search bar transparency! Save changes and you’re all set!

With this sleek new feature you can now hide your top and bottom menu’s and have them reappear with the scroll of your mouse! To make it simple, when you hover near the top of your menu, the bar will then reappear and the bottom bar will hide! Same effect goes for your bottom bar! Direct your mouse to the bottom bar and the top bar will hide! If you have no activity with your mouse they both will hide until you scroll your mouse towards one of the bars! This gives you even more room to customize your StartSkin and gives it a nice, smooth effect as well!

To setup this effect, simply go into the Search Settings located at the top. You will see a check box with text reading ‘Automatically Hide/Show Top and Bottom Links’. Check this and your top and bottom bars will have the auto hide effect once you click Update Changes.

With our newest addition, you can now start celebrating the seasons directly on your StartSkin! Add animated holiday effects such as Christmas lights as well as falling snowflakes for the winter time! How do I add these cool effects? It’s simple! Simply click on the ‘Customize Page’ link at the top right of your page and go into the Skin Builder. Once there, click the Widgets tab where you can show or hide your animated lights and snow!

Welcome back to new feature Friday! This weeks feature gives you the ability to shrink or enlarge your search engine logos! So if you don’t want to completely hide the Google logo, but want to take it down in size, now you can! Want it to pop out a little more? Simply use the drag bar found under the ‘Search’ tab to re-size and enlarge the logo! This works with each and every search engine logo such as Google, Yahoo and YouTube and all the others! Just another new feature we’re happy to provide you with! Check back next Friday for another new feature.

Such a simple yet another cool customizing feature! When you add text to your skin you can now rotate it any way you’d like, just like how you can rotate your images! All you have to do is add your text, hover over it and grab the bottom left corner. Rotate the text to your likings, add a link and/or change up the colors, click update and you’re set! Note that if your text has many characters in it, you may have to expand the text box by dragging the bottom right corner outwards.

So that’s 4 weeks straight with a brand new feature and we’re not stopping there! Let’s start calling it “Feature Friday” since we plan on releasing a brand new feature… every Friday! Hope you like the latest rotating text feature!
