You guys asked for it, we’ve added it. You can now put text anywhere on your skin and customize it the way you want!
To get started, click “Customize Page” (top right), then “Skin Builder” (last icon). Once in the skin builder, click the “Text” tab.
Enter your text, then click the “Add text” button to add it to your page.
To change the color, size, and font-family of the text, click on the text and a new section should appear on the “Add text” window.
To reposition the text on your skin, click and drag it to where you want it displayed.
Please let us know what you think, and if there’s anything else you’d like to see added to StartSkins!

i love this home page its so cool. before i got this home page i had a boring one o my gosh it sad google google google i didn’t like it at all. so i changed it to this and now i love it because you can chose what you want to be you home page and you get to say somthing its way cooler

LOL!! I love the text. I use them as “Post it Notes” to remind me of things I have to do. It works great. When I am done, I delete the text… WHAT!? I have a bad memory :/

It would be awesome if I could move the box that has the settings in it so that when I add pictures I can put them on the left side of my screen as well…thanks! I really enjoy that when people use my computer the 1st thing they see is a picture of me and my boyfriend…It’s cute…thanks alot!

ok, look it’s cool and all, but i would really like to go to my homepage without the edit options pop up. It’s really distracting and it kind of takes away from the overall look of the homepage i set up. I know i can just X out of it, but it’s just a hassle when all i want to see is the homepage i designed. If i want to edit i would go through the settings and open the appropriate boxes. To me it feels like i’s too demanding.. ADD TEXT. Well i don’t want to add text right now.. you’re blocking the view of my lovely homepage. I like that you guys made an option to only edit the homepage when logged in, but you don’t have it for text. Seriously, please add that in there! I will stay logged out until i actually want to add something. gahh i hope i’m not the only one who feels this way because i would really like for you guys to consider this!
Anyway thanks for awesome idea you guys have created. It’s making my internet experience much better. (Except for the customization box pop-up)
